Programmer, Database Designer

VB, VBA, SQL, SQL Server, MSSQL 2005, Access

High technology in Zürich. International high tech production company is looking for DB-Professional.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure constant availability of in-house legacy systems
• Ensure stable access to site’s key databases
• Responsible for application development in internal projects and initiatives
• Develop new system solutions as required
• Provide technical advise and support to other in-house developers 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years experience in programming and database design, at least 2 of which must be using VB, VBA against SQL Server databases
• Technical MSSQL professional (Migration MSSQL2000 to MSSQL2005, Performance optimization, maintenance)
• MS Access (Programming VBA, Migration Access97 to Access2003)
• Visual Basic 6 (DLL Programming in connection with Access)
• SQL (port from MS Access Jobs to MSSQL DTS) 

• Excellent Transact-SQL scripting skills
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Manager & Query Analyzer environments
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Administration techniques
• The ability to implement SQL Server security according to pre-defined standards
• The ability to work with SQL Server stored procedures, User Defined Functions, DTS and Scheduling 

In additional, the role requires the following programming skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Access 97 & 2003:
• The ability to work competently with VB 6
• The ability to work with VB & DOS scripts
• The candidate must have demonstrable experience implementing changes across NT and XP, multi-user environments
